I am very excited to present my upcoming show, SP(HERE)S. This show will be a combination of new and previous work that contemplates the here and now. It will be on view in the Holland Arts East Gallery, adjacent to the Yellowbird coffee shop in Northeast. Swing by all of September for a coffee and a healthy dose of presence 🤲 I would also like to formally invite you all to my opening reception which will be held on Thursday, September 4th from 6-8pm. Hello there art lovers! I have been hiding out in the studio cooking up some new work to share with you all soon.. Hello! My name is Sophia, I am a painter based in Northeast Minneapolis and am new to the Lyric community. Check out my online store featuring some brand new pieces since 2025. This piece, 'Pathos Mort', is a part of a recent mini series where I wanted to express my appreciation for the full life cycle of plants as well as the beauty and nuance within a decaying leaf. The title of this work is a play on the French term for still life, 'Nature Morte', literally translating to dead nature.
